O Mestrado Profissional em Odontologia com Área de Concentração em Odontologia para Pacientes com Necessidades Especiais da Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic visa atualizar os conceitos principais das condições sistêmicas, neurológicas e especiais e os protocolos pertinentes a cada alteração específica, bem como esclarecer ao cirurgião dentista os cuidados básicos relacionados a técnica e a terapia medicamentosa no atendimento de pacientes em condições complexas de saúde e que requerem cuidados especiais no âmbito odontológico. Nos pacientes comprometidos, a cavidade oral, pode estar repleta de manifestações que podem ser reflexos da condição medicamentosa, sistêmica, neurológica ou especial pela qual o paciente está inserido. O programa visa formar profissionais altamente competentes para uma odontologia inovadora e transformadora. Além de preparar para pesquisa e extensão, o curso capacita os profissionais para desenvolver produtos técnicos inovadores e promove a participação em projetos educacionais, contribuindo para o avanço na área em diferentes contextos.

With approaches such as problem-based learning, clinical simulations, and the use of advanced educational technologies, students are prepared using comprehensive and dynamic active teaching methodologies to face the challenges of modern dental practice.

The program has been running since 2002, is recognized by CAPES (Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education) and has received a grade of 5 (for the 2017-2020 evaluation period). The São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty is the only Brazilian educational institution to be part of the Orpheus group – an organization for PhD education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences within the European System, which brings together educational institutions active in health sciences and biomedicine. Among Orpheus' missions are: representing higher education and research in biomedicine and health sciences, and influencing policy formulation both nationally and internationally; promoting cooperation among association members and the development of effective bilateral and multilateral networks; and fostering cooperation in research and development of joint doctoral programs.

Payment and Contract
Sign the digital contract sent by email from the Totvs platform and make your monthly payments via bank slip on the 5th of each month.
Required Documents
Please present the following documents to Student Support: birth/marriage certificate, ID card, CPF (Brazilian tax identification number), voter registration card, professional license, proof of residence, 3x4 photo, and graduation diploma.
Tuition Payment
Tuition payment via bank slip, PIX (Brazilian instant payment system), or credit card (minimum installment of R$ 500.00 in up to 10 installments).
Extended Payment
Extension in 6 installments with 5% interest on the total course value. A down payment is required before signing the contract.
Refund Policy
Cancellation up to 20 days before the start of the course/module: 80% refund, with 20% retained for administrative expenses. After this period, there will be no refund of the registration fee due to the impossibility of replacing the registrant.

It is worth mentioning that São Leopoldo Mandic reserves the right to enroll students in accordance with the order of payments, respecting the number of vacancies in each class. b) The documentation required to regularize the enrollment must be presented in physical format at the Student Support/Secretary of the Unit, within the period in accordance with the contract:
– Birth or marriage certificate
– certified by the Brazilian consulate;
– Passport showing personal identification, and the Visa Stamp to enter in Brazil (whenever applicable); – CRNM (National Immigration Registry Card) OR RNE (Foreign National Registry) OR the protocol issued by the Federal Police, stating the period of leave to remain in Brazil; – Professional card (which proves the permission to practice the profession) – Recent proof of residence (last three months); – One 3cm x 4cm front-angle photo with neutral background that allows for digital scanning; – Original Graduation Diploma translated by a sworn and consularized public translator.
Note: As required by the Brazilian Ministry of Education, the Graduation diploma is requested to be scanned at the institution, and must be delivered within the period in accordance with the contract, under penalty of non-issuance of the diploma if you have this pendency. All assignments, tests and other written activities must be done in Portuguese.

The undergraduate Dentistry course is full-time. Classes are held Monday through Friday, in the morning and afternoon. There are some activities on Saturdays, according to the academic calendar. Learn more details below:
