To prepare dentists for the most modern techniques regarding the use of Botulinum Toxin and Facial Fillers in the field of Facial Harmonization.
This course aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of clinical conditions that require the aesthetic and/or therapeutic use of Botulinum Toxin, as well as hyaluronic acid as a filler biomaterial.
Furthermore, the course aims to train students to apply both botulinum toxin and filler biomaterials in an ethical, effective, and safe manner, using principles of Dentistry focused on Orofacial Harmonization.
Course schedule: Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

– Dosages and dilutions of Botulinum Toxin;
– Methods of aesthetic and functional application;
Indications and contraindications;
How can we prevent adverse effects?
Treatment of TMD and orofacial pain using Botulinum Toxin;
– Correction of gummy smile;
Hyaluronic Acid: History, types, dermal action;
Treatment of the nasolabial fold;
Treatment of perioral wrinkles;
– Post-intervention follow-up.
Each student will be encouraged to learn how to diagnose aesthetic aspects and understand the anatomy and vascularization of the skin.
Students will learn about treatment plans related to Orofacial Harmonization, specifically regarding Botulinum Toxin and Hyaluronic Acid as facial filler biomaterials.
Students will learn how to prevent and treat cases of complications and adverse events in Orofacial Harmonization.
Visual and manual dexterity will be stimulated through clinical practice.
Clinic with patient care provided in pairs.
Course load: 36 class hours.
