Medical students, doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, biomedical scientists, and other healthcare professionals.
The main objective of the course will be based on the dissection of fresh cadaveric specimens. Students will learn in practice the entire process of dissecting the muscles, arteries, veins, and nerves of the upper and lower limbs.
It allows the participant to expand their observation skills, improve their manual dexterity, and also introduces them to ethical and social dilemmas that require them to adopt a responsible stance towards the patients/silent teacher, the Cadaver.
The course aims to introduce students to conservation techniques that seek to preserve, as closely as possible, the morphology and characteristics of the specimens as they are in the living, such as consistency, color, and flexibility.
The student will receive a human anatomy atlas (upper and lower limbs) that will serve as a guide for the course, as well as a dissection kit.
With approaches such as problem-based learning, clinical simulations, and the use of advanced educational technologies, students are prepared using comprehensive and dynamic active teaching methodologies to face the challenges of modern dental practice.
Course with theoretical and practical classes.
There will be 3 participants per station, performing dissections on upper limbs (UL) and lower limbs (LL).
Everyone will actively participate in the dissections.
The course holds certifications from the MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education), guaranteeing national recognition from a major Higher Education Institution, Mandic. This ensures the quality of teaching and provides a solid and recognized education throughout the country.
This course offers supplementary hours for medical students at the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty.
