As part of the process to begin operations at the Campinas Health Center, São Leopoldo Mandic filed an agreement to provide services through the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System) and strengthen public health care in the region.
On Monday, May 25th, Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic formalized an agreement with the Government of the State of São Paulo to begin providing services through the Unified Health System (SUS) at Casa de Saúde Campinas. This agreement represents another step forward for the institution in strengthening healthcare and medical training in the city of Campinas.
Recently, the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty announced a partnership with Casa de Saúde Campinas, an initiative that foresees the institution operating within the hospital's structure. Yesterday afternoon, the faculty took another step towards consolidating the partnership by formalizing the agreement for providing services through the Unified Health System (SUS).
The partnership's main objective is to expand the availability of hospital beds and help alleviate pressure on the region's public healthcare system. To achieve this, the university invested in infrastructure improvements and the modernization of hospital equipment. Furthermore, the institution also hired and trained a multidisciplinary team prepared to guarantee qualified, humane, and safe patient care.
Initially planned for July 2026, São Leopoldo Mandic's operation at Casa de Saúde Campinas will expand services provided through the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System) and strengthen medical training, offering students another field of practice connected to the hospital routine in the city of Campinas. Through their work at Casa de Saúde Campinas, students will have direct contact with different specialties and multidisciplinary teams.
“We are prepared to serve the SUS (Brazilian Public Health System) in a very respectful manner, putting all the excellence of São Leopoldo Mandic at the service of the population that needs it most. This agreement also strengthens our mission to integrate assistance, education, and social responsibility through Casa de Saúde Campinas,” highlighted the president of the Mandic Group, Dr. José Luiz Cintra Junqueira.
The proposal aims to further integrate academic training with the realities of the public health system. Practical experience within the Campinas Health Center contributes to a more comprehensive medical education, connected to the needs of the community and aligned with the challenges of hospital care.
