History of the Mandic Group
A journey built on research, education, and growth formation and expansion
From its origins in study groups to the establishment of colleges, a hospital, stricto sensu programs, Mandic Digital, and new campuses, the history of the Mandic Group has evolved alongside the healthcare sector in Brazil.
1972
The history of São Leopoldo Mandic College
It all began with an informal group of dental surgeons and physicians who got together to study and discuss cases.
1978
Frei Leopoldo Mandic Study Center Foundation
A center dedicated to studies, research, courses, and scientific events in dentistry was established.
1997
São Leopoldo Mandic Center for Dental Research
The institution now offers continuing education and specialization courses in various fields of dentistry.
1998
Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Dentistry
Stricto sensu programs recognized by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel were established.
2003
Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry
The undergraduate program in dentistry has become part of the Mandic as an innovative program offering significant added value.
2009
Acknowledgments
The Ministry of Education (MEC) recognized the São Leopoldo Mandic as the best institution of higher education in the field of health in the country in the IGC/2008.
2013
Highest score on the MEC exam
The undergraduate medical program received the highest rating, and the institution has also begun offering graduate programs in the medical field.
2015
Name Change
The institution is now called São Leopoldo Mandic College.
2017
MED MANDIC Teaching Clinic
The MED MANDIC Teaching Clinic and a new medical school were inaugurated in Araras.
2019
Launch of the Digital Mandic
The innovative dental laboratory has begun using 3D CAD/CAM technology to produce high-tech dental prostheses.
2020
Sertão School of Medicine
The Mandic Group inaugurated the Sertão School of Medicine in Arcoverde, in the heart of the Pernambuco hinterland.
2023
New locations
New undergraduate medical programs were launched at Limeira and Grande Vitória, in addition to a graduate program in dentistry in Portugal.
