Institutional Evaluation

São Leopoldo Mandic College is proud to maintain top grades in all of its external evaluations, such as the General Course Index — IGC, Preliminary Course Rating (CPC), Institutional Accreditation and Reaccreditation (CI), and Authorization, Recognition, and Renewal of Recognition of its undergraduate programs (CC). As a result, it ranks among the top ten institutions of higher education (IES) in the country.

To maintain this strong performance and continuously pursue excellence in teaching and efficient management, São Leopoldo Mandic conducts an annual cycle of Internal Institutional Evaluation through the CPA, which ensures the continuity of its culture of ongoing innovation, effective management, the promotion of dialogue among all segments of society affected by the institution, and the steady development of a learning environment grounded in excellence and ongoing professional development.

This self-assessment process has been in place for twenty years, consistently aligned with SINAES (the National System for the Evaluation of Higher Education) and continually refined over time. It involves the academic community—students, faculty, and staff—as well as the participation of the external community.

This self-assessment is managed transparently by the Internal Evaluation Committee (CPA), which is responsible for both gathering data and opinions using a pre-established methodology and for publicly presenting the results in reports that highlight strengths and identify areas for improvement. These same documents also include Improvement Plans outlining practical and strategic actions to be implemented in the short, medium, and long term.

Furthermore, the self-assessment process is also an important opportunity for São Leopoldo Mandic to demonstrate accountability to the academic community and society as a whole.

To ensure a transparent self-assessment process, involving input regarding what São Leopoldo Mandic College does, and establishing a comparison between its mission, values, principles, and objectives, and the actions it actually carries out in pursuit of higher academic quality.

To gain a general understanding of each degree program offered in Brazil, the Ministry of Education (MEC) evaluates the performance of students nearing the end of their programs, in addition to the IDD.
