Scientific Research Seminar – SEMIC

São Leopoldo Mandic College’s Scientific Initiation Seminar (SEMIC) is an annual event, free of charge and open to the academic community, that highlights the scientific and outreach work carried out by students throughout the year.

The 2025 event will take place on October 7, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the São Leopoldo Mandic College, located at Campinas (SP).

During the event, the results of undergraduate research projects conducted as part of the PIBIC and PIBITI programs will be presented, including work carried out with support from PIBIC/CNPq, PIBITI/CNPq, and FAPESP scholarships, as well as funding from the private sector.

The 12th SEMIC offers a unique opportunity to discuss innovative ideas and present research findings, as well as to interact with experienced researchers who serve as reviewers for the event. Participants will also have the chance to learn about the various lines of research conducted by the institution, bringing them even closer to the world of science and technology and enriching their academic education.

What are the presentation categories for the 12th SEMIC?

The event will feature five distinct categories: • PIBIC: exclusively for undergraduate students participating in the PIBIC program—2024/2025 cycle. • PIBITI: exclusively for undergraduate students participating in the PIBITI program—2024/2025 cycle. • Research: for the presentation of research papers, including laboratory, clinical, and epidemiological studies. • Open Theme: for the presentation of papers based on literature reviews or clinical cases. • Outreach: a category focused on the presentation of university outreach projects or initiatives.
