Transparency and Compliance: Responsible Corporate Governance

São Leopoldo Mandic College has a rigorous Compliance Program, in accordance with Law No. 12,846/2013—known as the Anti-Corruption Law—which is regulated by Decree No. 11,129/22, and is possibly the first institution of higher education in Brazil to adopt internal control mechanisms and procedures related to the enforcement of Codes of Ethics and Academic and Business Conduct within the college and its sponsoring entity, the Regional Society for Education and Health (SRES).

In January 2026, SRES approved the Code of Ethics and Academic and Business Conduct and established the Compliance Committee, governed by the institution’s Internal Regulations.

The Institution’s Compliance Committee is responsible for creating and implementing supplementary rules to the Code of Ethics and Academic and Business Conduct. It acts proactively by conducting training sessions, monitoring activities, and engaging with employees, faculty, students, and partners to ensure compliance with the Code. In addition, it is responsible for reviewing reports and complaints received through the communication channels.

Compliance with the Code’s rules is mandatory for all individuals who have a professional or academic relationship—including employees, faculty, students, and partners (service providers of any kind)—with the Regional Society for Education and Health (São Leopoldo Mandic College and its campuses: São Leopoldo Mandic College in Araras; São Leopoldo Mandic College in Limeira; Sertão School of Medicine).
