Patents and Intellectual Property

São Leopoldo Mandic – MANDIC promotes the publication of technical and scientific works and projects by its students and faculty. The institution also takes a strong stance in defense of intellectual property and encourages the creation and registration of patents.

In recent years, MANDIC has filed more than 10 patents developed by its faculty and students. This type of technical and scientific research output is considered one of the most significant contributions to regional and/or national development, with two of these patents already fully licensed (PI 0401214-3 A2 and MU8403653-2 Y1).
