Overview
Since 2002, São Leopoldo Mandic’s Professional Master’s Program in Dentistry has been training qualified and competent dental professionals for both advanced and transformative clinical practice, as well as for teaching, research, and outreach.

Graduate Program in Dentistry
To this end, MANDIC’s Professional Master’s program fosters the development of human resources focused on practical application and innovation in healthcare; conducts research and technological innovation aimed at solving problems and meeting the needs of the community in which the institution operates, in line with a development model that prioritizes not only economic growth but also quality of life; maintains a qualified, up-to-date, motivated, and, above all, institutionally committed teaching and administrative staff. Additionally, we seek to maintain financial self-sustainability through ongoing efforts to secure external funding from companies.
MANDIC's Professional Master's program benefits from exchanges and collaborations facilitated by companies in the industrial sector, leading to the development of products and innovation, as well as professional training designed to meet the sector's needs. In addition, scientific events and technical visits are organized in partnership with leading companies in the market, during which technological innovations and new products are presented to faculty and students.
MANDIC's Professional Master's program lasts 30 to 36 months, with four meeting days per month.
A distinguishing feature of the Professional Master's Program in Dentistry is the option for students who are already specialists and wish to earn a master's degree to enroll in the Special Master's program, which is designed specifically for those who already hold specialist qualifications. This program lasts 24 months and consists of week-long sessions held every two months.
The "Public Health" concentration, in turn, is multidisciplinary in nature and designed to address social needs. Graduates of this program include social workers, pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and psychologists.

The program aims to train professionals with high technical competence for transformative professional practice, based on societal needs and direct public service, as well as to equip them for research and outreach activities, for the development of innovative technical products and processes in the productive sector. The program also aims to train professionals capable of working on educational projects, developing human resources in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary manner, and contributing to the advancement of dentistry at the international, national, regional, or local levels.
Orpheus Group
São Leopoldo Mandic is the only Brazilian educational institution to be part of the ORPHEUS group—the Organization for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System—a member of the Association of European Universities, which brings together institutions active in health sciences and biomedicine. Among ORPHEUS’s missions are: representing higher education and research in biomedicine and health sciences and influencing policy-making both nationally and internationally; promoting cooperation among member institutions and the development of effective bilateral and multilateral networks; facilitating cooperation in research and the development of joint doctoral programs; enabling the harmonization of doctoral programs in biomedicine and health sciences; encouraging the mobility of doctoral candidates and faculty; and promoting quality assurance in doctoral research and education, particularly the development of an accreditation process for doctoral programs in biomedicine and health sciences.
