The “Systhex Day 2019: Technology and Responsibilities Related to Your Professional Practice” took place at the São Leopoldo Mandic Faculty in Curitiba (PR), on July 10th. The event was attended by 45 students from the Curitiba Unit, who listened to lectures on new technologies in implants and bone grafts.

The first lecture was given by Dr.^Flávia Nicolau, owner and director of Systhex, a company that manufactures dental implants. She spoke about the company and implants. Following her, Dr. Renato Castelano, a specialist in dental prosthetics and a master and specialist in periodontics, spoke about Morse taper implants and temporary implants in extraction sockets.

The final lecture of the event was about the new era of nanometric synthetic biomaterials, with Dr. Marcel Melhem, lawyer, entrepreneur and CEO of Systhex, and Dr. Igor Brum, Master in Implantology and professor at UERJ (State University of Rio de Janeiro).

To close out Systhex Day 2019, students participated in a hands-on workshop focusing on synthetic bone.
