His main areas of expertise include: Mitral Valve Repair, Myocardial Revascularization, Heart Failure, and Heart Transplantation. He is a member of the Institutional Cardiac Surgery and Heart Transplant Team at Hospital Albert Einstein in São Paulo. 

Reviewer for the Brazilian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, since 2008. 

He is currently the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medicine Program at Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic, in Campinas, SP.
