About the Faculty Member
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Neo-Latin Languages and Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, PUC Campinas (1967). He holds a master’s degree (1971) and a Ph.D. (1974) in Linguistics and was appointed associate professor (1988) at the University of São Paulo (USP), with postdoctoral studies at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2008). Professor of Portuguese Language in the Dentistry and Medicine programs at the University of São Paulo (São Leopoldo Mandic College). He is a volunteer professor in the graduate program in Linguistics and Portuguese Language at the Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University of São Paulo (UNESP). Ângelo has experience in the field of Language and Literature, focusing primarily on the following topics: cognitive linguistics, grammar, and argumentation.
