Surgical residents (all specialties) and surgeons who have already been introduced to the fundamental techniques of video-laparoscopic surgery, as well as students who took course DI: 7757/2024 at SLMandic.
Course Content:
Module 1 (Fundamental Skills) – 4 hours: Tutorial videos; Camera handling; Bimanual coordination; Ligation and dissection; Suturing.
Module 2 (Virtual Surgeries) - 10 hours:
Tutorial Videos; Step-by-Step Surgeries;
Complete surgeries.
All students will be registered and must schedule an in-person session for individual training.
Registration will provide access to the software and hardware (non-transferable) and institutional identification.
Each student must complete a minimum of 2 hours of training per week. Each student will have 1 to 2 hours of training per week, with a limit of 2 two-hour sessions per day; the days of the week and times will be at the student’s convenience and based on the Robotic Hospital’s schedule—between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Scheduling will be handled by the laboratory technician in charge, who will also supervise and assist with both equipment operation and the duration of training sessions.
Payment Method: Bank Payment Slip: Single payment for the full amount. Credit Card: Payment in up to 2 installments. Refund: (1) If the registrant submits a request to withdraw from the course under the terms mentioned above, at least 20 (twenty) days before the course start date, São Leopoldo Mandic College will refund 80% (eighty percent) of the total course fee, with the remaining 20% (twenty percent) considered administrative expenses; (2) If the registrant submits a request to withdraw from the course under the terms set forth above after the course has begun, the registrant will forfeit the right to a refund of the course fee, even if they have not attended classes, in accordance with the provisions of applicable law, the Institution’s General Regulations for Graduate Studies, and also because the courses are offered based on the number of enrolled students, in which case the spot vacated by the withdrawing student is considered filled; (3) For students enrolled in courses designated as “Remaining Spots/Immediate Start,” if the student submits a request to withdraw from the course under the terms mentioned above at least 20 (twenty) days before the start date of the next module, São Leopoldo Mandic College will refund 80% (eighty percent) of the tuition fee, with the remaining 20% (twenty percent) considered administrative expenses. (4) If the request for cancellation is made less than 20 (twenty) days before the start of classes, the registrant acknowledges that there will be no refund of the amount paid as tuition, since the Institution will not have sufficient time to replace the registrant with another candidate, and it is understood that services related to reserving the spot have been rendered, justifying the receipt of the registration fee. Important Note: If the course does not take place or is postponed for any reason by the Institution, the registrant will be entitled to a 100% (one hundred percent) refund of the registration fee paid, regardless of when the registrant becomes aware of this rescheduling. If the registrant, upon becoming aware of this rescheduling, chooses to withdraw from the course, the refund will be 80% of the enrollment fee paid.
