The objective of the Specialization Course in Endodontics is to provide practicing dental surgeons with technical and scientific training in the field of endodontics, enabling them to act as specialists capable of making accurate diagnoses, endodontic treatments and retreatments, as well as manage potential complications, all in accordance with high standards of technical and technological quality (operative microscopy, mechanized instrumentation, thermoplastic obturation, ultrasound, foramen locator, and Cone Beam Computed Tomography -CBCT) for a diverse range of cases, including those considered the most complex within this clinical specialty. Students will develop skills to maintain the disinfection achieved during endodontic treatment through the use of fiberglass posts, as well as the basic principles of restoration. The minimum workload consists of 50 molars or the equivalent, given the modern nature of the protocol used in the pursuit of therapeutic excellence in endodontics.
