Through approaches such as problem-based learning, clinical simulations, and the use of advanced educational technologies, students are prepared using comprehensive and dynamic active teaching methods to meet the challenges of modern dental practice.
The program includes theoretical, practical, clinical, laboratory, and demonstration classes.
The course is accredited by the MEC and the CFO, ensuring national recognition from a leading institution of higher education, Mandic. This guarantees the quality of instruction and provides a solid education that is recognized throughout the country.
Dual Certification: Professionals who complete this course will receive two certificates: a certificate as a Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry and a certificate of Qualification in Conscious Inhalation Sedation with Nitrous Oxide (MEC/CFO), both recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Federal Council of Dentistry (CFO).

First Module - Area of Concentration: Pediatric Dentistry.
The Second and Third Modules—Related Field: Required courses mandated by the MEC (Ministry of Education) and the CFO (Federal Council of Dentistry), which are common to all specialties, as follows:
The second module, covering the courses in Dental Ethics and Legislation and Scientific Research Methodology, will be conducted via distance learning.
The third module, covering the courses Medical Emergencies and Pharmacotherapy, will be conducted via distance learning.
Note: Students who have already completed the courses in these two “Related Fields” modules (Medical Emergencies, Scientific Research Methodology, Pharmacotherapy, and Dental Ethics and Legislation) in another specialization program may request, through the Admissions Office, before beginning the course, to have these studies reviewed for credit (validation), provided that the minimum time period of up to 4 years from the course start date is met.
SLMandic reserves the right not to start the course on the scheduled date if the minimum number of students is not reached. Enrolled students must await confirmation of the start date from the Business Department so that the necessary arrangements can be made.

Certification in Inhalation Sedation with Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen:

Current Discounts:
A 10% discount on tuition for alumni of Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic, except for those who took single-module courses or who completed a program lasting less than 12 months, regardless of the campus.
Undergraduate alumni of Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic who are enrolling in their first graduate program—excluding single-module courses—receive a 15% discount on tuition and a 50% discount on the enrollment fee.
Students who wish to pay tuition in a lump sum each semester receive a 3% discount on tuition; for annual lump-sum payments, we offer a 6% discount on tuition. For programs lasting more than 24 months, when all tuition payments for the program are paid in a lump sum, the discount is 10% on monthly tuition; and for graduate courses lasting less than 24 months, when all monthly tuition payments are paid in a lump sum, the discount is 7% on monthly tuition.
