Through approaches such as problem-based learning, clinical simulations, and the use of advanced educational technologies, students are prepared—using active teaching methodologies in a comprehensive and dynamic way—to meet the challenges of modern dental practice.
Courses include theoretical, practical, clinical, laboratory, and demonstration classes.
The program is accredited by the MEC and the CFO, ensuring national recognition from a leading institution of higher education, Mandic. This guarantees the quality of instruction and provides a solid education that is recognized throughout the country.
Triple Certification: Dental surgeons who complete this program will receive three certificates: a Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics (MEC/CFO), recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Federal Council of Dentistry (CFO), as well as certificates in Training in Mini-Implants and Training in Orthodontic Aligners, both recognized by the MEC.

With modern infrastructure, well-equipped clinics, multidisciplinary laboratories, and high-tech classrooms, we provide the ideal environment for both practical and theoretical learning. We are the only institution to feature a dedicated Mini Lab, equipped with state-of-the-art digital technologies and a team of highly skilled prosthetic professionals, ensuring a fully digital workflow. In addition, the radiology center features state-of-the-art equipment, such as CT scanners, a portable scanner, image processing software, and 3D imaging capabilities.
First Module - Specialization: Orthodontics.
The Second and Third Modules—Related Field: Required courses mandated by the MEC (Ministry of Education) and the CFO (Federal Council of Dentistry), which are common to all specialties, as follows:
The Second module, covering the courses in Dental Ethics and Legislation and Research Methodology, will be delivered via distance learning.
The Third module, covering the courses in Medical Emergencies and Scientific Drug Therapy, will be delivered via distance learning.
Note:
Students who have already completed the courses in these two “Related Fields” modules (Medical Emergencies, Scientific Research Methodology, Pharmacotherapy, and Dental Ethics and Legislation) as part of another specialization program may request, through the Business Office, before beginning the course, to have these studies reviewed for credit (recognition), provided that the minimum time period of up to 4 years from the course start date is met.
As an exception for former students of the São Leopoldo Mandic Institution, a proportional discount will be granted for the validated Related Field courses. If the request is made after classes have begun, the discount will only apply to the months following the date of the request.
Starting with the fourth module, the course will resume its regular schedule from Thursday through Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with classes focused on the Area of Concentration (Orthodontics).
SLMandic reserves the right not to start the course on the date specified above if the minimum number of students is not met. Enrollees must wait for confirmation of the start date from the Sales Department before taking any further steps.

Current Discounts:
A 10% discount on tuition for alumni of Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic, except for those who took single-module courses or who completed a program lasting less than 12 months, regardless of the campus.
Undergraduate alumni of Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic who are enrolling in their first graduate program—excluding single-module courses—receive a 15% discount on tuition and a 50% discount on the registration fee.
Students who wish to pay tuition in a lump sum each semester receive a 3% discount on tuition; for payments made in a lump sum annually, we offer a 6% discount on tuition. For courses lasting more than 24 months, when all tuition payments for the course are paid in a lump sum, the discount is 10% on tuition; and for graduate courses lasting less than 24 months, when all tuition payments are paid in full upfront, the discount is 7% on tuition.
