The Certification Course in Relative Analgesia or Conscious Sedation with Nitrous Oxide (MEC/CFO) aims to certify and train professionals to perform inhalation sedation using a mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide, in accordance with CFO Resolution 51/04. The Basic Life Support (BLS) course was recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA) to provide training for healthcare professionals and students, as it is essential for saving victims of cardiopulmonary arrest (CPA). Healthcare professionals will learn high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for victims of all ages and in any setting, as well as how to recognize the signs of a cardiac arrest, call emergency medical services, and respond quickly and confidently. Thus, the course aims to train and equip healthcare professionals in Basic Life Support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the use of an automated external defibrillator for victims of all ages, in accordance with the American Heart Association guidelines (2020).
