The Immersion Course in Cadaveric Human Anatomy—Thorax is an educational program designed to enhance the skills of medical students at São Leopoldo Mandic College who have already completed the cardiorespiratory system module. The pedagogical approach combines theoretical and practical instruction with an emphasis on the topographic and functional anatomy of the thorax, using human cadavers and 2D and 3D visual resources. The course is grounded in current scientific evidence and aims to reinforce the anatomical-clinical integration essential for safe and effective medical practice. The objective of the course is to provide medical students with an immersion in the human anatomy of the thorax, through cadaveric study and approaches integrated with clinical practice, with the goal of enhancing anatomo-clinical reasoning, keeping students up to date on scientific developments, developing technical skills and humanistic training, and equipping them with greater competencies for their upcoming course modules and clinical rotations.
