MODULE 2: FACIAL ULTRASOUND AND HANDS-ON

PART I – FACIAL ULTRASOUND FOCUSED ON COMPLICATIONS

Introduction to diagnostic ultrasonography.

Physical aspects of ultrasonography.

Types of equipment and how they work.

The basic components of an ultrasound system.

Types of transducers and ultrasound generation.

Image acquisition and interpretation. Basic principles of ultrasonography and Doppler mapping.

Applications of facial ultrasound and facial mapping.

Topographic ultrasound anatomy of the head and neck region as applied to facial procedures.

Interpretation of the anatomy of the skin, facial mucous membranes, facial muscles, and facial vascular anatomy.

Use of Ultrasound in HOF Complications: vascular complications; nodules; PMMA; migration.

PART II – HANDS-ON: HYALURONIDASE AND FACIAL ULTRASOUND

Hyaluronidase Hands-On: dilution and preparation of hyaluronidase;

Dosage and application of hyaluronidase on a mannequin;

Identification of treatment areas and application;

Hands-on facial mapping using ultrasound equipment.

Practical training with ultrasound equipment on students and simulators.

There is no tuition fee for this course.

This course does not include an extended plan.

Withdrawal up to 20 days before the start of the course/module: 80% refund, with 20% retained for administrative expenses. After this period, there will be no refund of the registration fee due to the inability to find a replacement for the registered participant.
