1st Charity Auction: Health Boat

The Barco da Saúde Project is an initiative organized by students and faculty from the dentistry and medicine programs at São Leopoldo Mandic College, whose primary goal is to provide medical and dental care to indigenous and riverside communities along the Tapajós River in the Santarém region of Pará.

The project provides a transformative experience for the students involved. By immersing themselves in environments with limited resources, these future professionals have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, develop practical skills, and cultivate empathy and compassion.

Currently, the project is seeking to expand its resources to increase its impact.

We are thrilled to announce the 1st Charity Auction: Barco da Saúde, featuring the stunning photographs captured by photojournalist Giancarlo Giannelli during previous editions of Barco da Saúde. Each image not only visually captures the experiences lived but also bears witness to the hope, resilience, and humanity found in every person and community served.
