Academic Mobility Program

The SLMANDIC Group's Academic Mobility Program aims to articulate and expand the academic relationships of students and faculty in undergraduate and graduate programs in Medicine and Dentistry.

Campinas, São Paulo

In this city, SLMANDIC offers undergraduate and stricto sensu graduate programs in Medicine and Dentistry.
Campinas is located in the state of São Paulo, close to two international airports. It is 25 km from Viracopos International Airport and 100 km from Franco Montoro International Airport in São Paulo. Campinas is an important urban, economic, academic, and cultural hub. For Medicine students, there is the MedMandic Clinic, a teaching clinic of São Leopoldo Mandic that serves the entire city and surrounding region. For Dentistry students, there is the Dental School, one of the best-equipped in the country. It also offers stricto sensu and lato sensu graduate programs.

Araras, São Paulo

At the Araras campus, SLMANDIC offers an undergraduate program in Medicine in a spacious, well-equipped facility suitable for a wide range of teaching and learning activities, with a focus on clinical internships at its own hospital and Emergency Care Unit. Araras is located in the state of São Paulo, 90 km from Viracopos International Airport. Araras is a city known for its welcoming atmosphere and quality of life, with an economy based on the manufacturing industry.

Limeira, São Paulo

At this campus, SL Mandic offers an undergraduate program in Medicine, and students have clinical internships at its own hospital, including an Intensive Care Unit.
Limeira is located 50 km from Viracopos International Airport and from Campinas, and 25 km from Araras. Limeira is the city with the largest cluster of gold-plated jewelry producers on the continent and has historically been a national leader in agribusiness, with production of ornamental and fruit seedlings, and is also the world's largest producer of citrus seedlings.

Arcoverde, Pernambuco

The Faculdade de Medicina do Sertão, part of the SLMANDIC Group, offers an undergraduate program in Medicine and provides students with clinical internships at its own hospital. Arcoverde is a city in the ninth region of Northeast Brazil, in the sertão of the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, located 256 km from Recife, the state capital.

Graduate Units

It has 10 graduate course units: the Campinas unit offers stricto sensu and lato sensu programs in Dentistry and Medicine, while Araras, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Grande Vitória, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo offer lato sensu programs in various dental specialties. In addition to these units in Brazil, SLMANDIC has a unit in Portugal.

Requirements for inbound mobility

Students interested in studying at one of the SLMANDIC Group institutions must contact the Exchange Coordinator at their home institution to learn about the application procedures. To apply for a place in the Academic Mobility Program, the student must first be officially nominated by their home institution.
The deadlines and conditions for nomination and application to the program differ for undergraduate and graduate levels. Depending on the level of the program you are interested in, you will need to follow different application procedures.
The student must submit:
  1. Updated academic transcript
  2. Proof of current enrollment at the home institution
  3. Copy of passport
  4. Academic mobility application form
  5. Motivation/intention letter for participation in the academic mobility program at our institution.
All exchange students must be nominated by their home institution, regardless of the mobility program to which they are applying. After nomination, documents must be sent to the Office of Internationalization by email:

Accommodation options and campus life

A SLMandic não disponibiliza moradia para estrangeiros de intercâmbio em nenhum de seus campi. A busca por moradia deve ser realizada pelos próprios estudantes, de acordo com suas condições financeiras e preferências pessoais.

Vaccination policy

Para garantir a saúde e a segurança de todos, o Brasil possui diretrizes específicas de vacinação para estrangeiros que vêm ao país. Recomenda-se que o quadro vacinal esteja completo, com especial atenção para as seguintes vacinas: febre amarela, poliomielite, sarampo, rubéola, difteria e tétano.
